Jewel

Went to her concert last night at the Opera House. She has such a powerful voice. And it's a beautiful voice as well. She's also quite funny. The concert was her standing on stage telling stories and jokes in between playing a selection of her new and old songs on her guitar. She seems fairly down to earth and even forgot her lyrics at one point. The fans were only too glad to help her out.

It was a lot more civilised than I expected. No crazy fans rushing the stage or anything. There was the wolf whistling and the occasional yell of "I love you Jewel" but that was it. Sara was mesmerised by her as she's been a Jewel fan all her life. She's waited 8 years for this. Eight years ago when Jewel toured Australia she was still young and had no money nor anyone to take her to go. hehe

A Dream

Last night I dreamt I had done something stupid and smashed my mouth against something. (Can't remember now) The impact was so hard that I was spitting blood and broken teeth. My entire upper and lower sets of teeth were either very loose or knocked out. 5 minutes later (in dream time) I was still spitting out blood and teeth. I was thinking "Oh no! False teeth for me for the rest of my life!". Then I woke up to find my mouth open and me drooling on the pillow. I was SOOOO glad it was a dream. Phew!

In other news, came back from my holiday in Bangkok/Vietnam a couple of weeks ago. It was great fun. Too bad bird flu in the area prevented us from doing much.
