Farewell ResMed

Today was my last day at ResMed. My colleagues took me out to Yum Cha for lunch. I was amazed at the amount of people that turned up. I was quite humbled really. And what's more, they even got me a card and some gifts. They bought me a basketball and a rugby league ball as they knew I liked playing those sports. Plus a golf umbrella for those rainy day walks from the station to Ventracor. They signed the balls so I don't want to use them.

The past few days have been full of mixed emotions for me. Partially excited because of the new opportunities/people/work at this new company. And partially sadness that I would be leaving these wonderful people. By far the best thing about ResMed for me is the people I work around. It was quite difficult today saying goodbye to everyone. I'll see some of them again I'm sure but it's still sad.

New Job

I got a new job last week. It's at a company called Ventracor. The position is Software Engineer. They make an implantable heart assisting device for really sick people. I'm really excited about this job. It's a much smaller company than ResMed and it's a permanent position. Something I've been seeking in ResMed but without success. I feel I'll be able to learn more and make a bigger difference to the company than what I can do here at ResMed. Plus it pays better and is in the Medical Industry. It's all good :)

City to Surf
Walked the City to Surf yesterday with Sara. Today I'm quite sore. Sara must be in a world of hurt today since she hardly ever does any sporting activities hehe :)
