A time of celebration

David and Madeleine tied the knot on Saturday. They promised to love each other, through thick and thin, for the rest of their lives. I am so happy for them. Finding your soulmate in life is not an easy task. Seeing them together warms my heart and provides a sense of hope to us single folk.

My little sister Phuong (aka "Chubby" hehe) graduated from uni on Monday. She did a double degree in Science and Business majoring in Accounting. She also recently got a job. I took the day off to attend her graduation ceremony. I am so proud of her :) Over the past couple of years, I've really seen her mature as a person. We've also become closer. We've never been a close knit family so that's saying something. Gone are the days where we fight constantly. I guess we're both growing up. So if you're reading this Phuong, congratulations, I'm very proud of you. I wish you all the best for your career.

Static Electricity

My 100% pure wool suit pants are p!ssing me off. They rub against my hairy legs and produce ALOT of static electricity. I'm zapping everything I touch. It's gotten to a point where I'm afraid to touch things around me. I hesitate before I open doors with metal handles because of the fear. It's becoming a phobia. And they're not little zaps. They're friggin big audible ones with blue sparks and all!

So what can I do? I know there are those anti-static sprays you can buy to spray on your clothes. Do they work well? Is there a better solution? It'll be annoying having to spray them everytime they come out of the wash. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe I'm not suppose to wash them. The tag says dry clean only. But I can't afford to dry clean them every week! Nor can I afford a new pair of pants! :(

From xtn

Funny he should tag me with this sorta topic. I've never been much of a reader, which probably explains my poor writing skills too LOL. But here goes!

1) Total number of books you own?
No more than 50. There's better things to spend your money on and that's what libraries are for right? :P

2) What was the last book you bought?
Geee it's been so long I can't remember. If we're talking about a novel, then I really can't remember. But the last "book" I bought was probably the car maintenance book for $5 at Super Cheap Autos LOL.

3) What was the last book you read?
The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. A Fantastic book. A book about String Theory and how it could possibly be THE theory of how our universe works. Starts off with some background stuff on Einstein's theories of relativity. It really shows that the world we live in, is not always how we perceive it to be.

4) List five books that are particularly meaningful to you (in no particular order)
Wow, 5 eh? Really gotta think hard...

1. The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene
2. Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab
3. Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt
4. Matilda by Roald Dahl
5. Magician by Raymond E. Feist

5) Tag five people and have them fill out the list on their own blogs (if they can be bothered)

1. Muddy
2. Jem
3. JC
4. Chunga
5. Derek

Dave's XI - Bucks Weekend

"What happens on tour, remains on tour." The saying for a fantastic weekend. Which doesn't leave much to write about LOL. It was my friend's (David) bucks weekend. The first I've ever been to and probably one of the better organised ones. For me, let's just say it was an eye opening experience. A great time was had by all. It was great to have a weekend with just the guys and do all the blokey things which would probably be frowned upon if the ladies were there.
