Garlic Saucers make it 2 in row!

In news just in, the Garlic Saucers has successfully retained their Wooden Spoon trophy for the second season in a row. They did it in typically spectacular fashion, a resounding defeat from the very beginning. What little doubt that creeped in after holding the other team scoreless for 10mins in the second half was quickly and brutally crushed in the next 10. The future is uncertain for the Saucers, a few key players considering retiring whilst on a low. KGV Division 5 will surely miss their perennial whipping boys shall the Garlic Saucers disband.

In other news, have been extremely busy lately to blog. My life in the past couple of months resembles a beehive. LOTS of activity! Barely have any time to myself and I think it's starting to take a toll.

I did get time to watch an episode of Top Gear last night, the one with the new Mazda MX-5. They loved the car. Raced a greyhound around a greyhound track. It lost but hey, it's a greyhound track, on a bitumen track it'll slaughter that canine. They also said it retains the "Jinba Ittai" spirit which is great to hear. I'm gonna have to buy one, one day.

So what else has happened in the past couple of months?

- 3 day Great Escape Music Festival: Good live music, my first outdoor musical event, 3 days was abit much but enjoyable nonetheless.

- My grandmother went back to vietnam after a 2 month holiday here. She was initally going to stay for 6 months but got bored. haha. Australia is very different to VN, especially if you don't speak the language, don't know anyone here, don't know of any places to go, don't have a means to get around and everyone that you do know needs to work Monday to Friday. We took her to places on the weekends and she enjoyed that to some extent. She's a very "home" type person so a couple of hours of going out was more than enough for her.

- My sister Tiffany graduated from her Computer Science degree at Macquarie uni. Now she's working as a software developer for a finance company. I am so proud of her, following the footsteps of her brother :) Mum is also happy that we're all graduated. Her next mission now is to get us all married LOL

- Went horse riding. I've been looking forward to this for quite a while now. It was fun but not spectacular. My horse, named Cocktail, was a stubborn ass. And he was bossy. He wouldn't do as I commanded him to, he would rush to the front, walk really slowly and not let other horses pass him. I dug my heels into his ribs, as you're suppose to in order to make it go, and on a few occasions he would turn his head around and look at me as if to say "Kick me one more time and I swear I'll throw you off". I was like, "You insolent bastard! Just you wait till we get back to the ranch, you're gonna be dog food!". Can't believe the bloody horse gave me some lip.

- My house renovations is taking ages. I still can't rent it out yet. Living away from home has been good but it's cutting into my finances big time. So much so that I have decided to move back home in August. I can't afford to live the lifestyle that I want to live AND be living away from home. I thought I could live simply but the temptation was too strong. Oh well, I've had my experience living away from home and I'll get plenty of it when I jet off to Europe next year. Now, I need to save money for my NZ trip later this year.

The horse knows who's boss, Chi. Don't argue.

Minh said that you'll be moving back home.. oh well, it was good while it lasted, huh? But it's good that you're saving up for NZ.. now if only we can rustle up 1 or 2 more people to make things cheaper... hmm... :)

haha so much activity that you have so much honey :P

Good to hear you have done what you planned: Live away from home, renovate your place and finally ride that beast. Sounds like the horse ride wasn't as romantic as you hoped though :)
