The Mysterious Package

So I get an email from Reception saying there’s a package for me. That’s weird, I don’t remember ordering anything. Maybe I forgot I bought something on eBay? Or maybe someone hacked into my account on eBay and bought something. But then they would obviously change the shipping address to them right?

So I went to reception and collected a parcel from Telstra Bigpond Broadband! WTF?!? Did I stupidly apply for broadband internet when I am already quite happy with Exetel? Maybe I was sleep walking and did it in the middle of the night? Maybe one of my punk friends is playing a prank on me? Maybe I entered a competition and this was one of the prizes? Maybe it’s a bomb!!! (I even listened for ticking noises hahaha what a day and age we live in).

So I opened the package and sure enough, it’s a broadband startup kit. Modem, power supply, filters, cables, the lot. Maybe there’s a free 12 month internet subscription attached to it too? Maybe Telstra are giving away free starter kits in order to get customers? Gee how desparate must they be!

So, some questions remain:

1. How did I come to receive this package? How did they get my details!?!? Are any of you punks responsible?

2. What should I do with this package? Call up Telstra? Maybe there is a glitch in Bigpond’s ordering database and it’s going to constantly send me stuff until they find out? I could be getting goodies from Telstra for years. I can really benefit from this!! Hehe Or maybe by being honest they’ll reward me? Unlikely. I could always sell it on eBay haha

Either way, I find the whole situation quite amusing :D
